Use Cases — Wholesalers and Financial Advisors

VizWealth serves two primary audiences: wholesalers who use it in client-facing meetings and financial advisors who use it for portfolio research and construction. Each group uses the tool differently, but both rely on its ability to compare investments quickly and visually.

For Wholesalers

Wholesalers use VizWealth directly in front of financial advisors, typically during in-person meetings. Rather than scheduling a follow-up or waiting for an internal team to generate a Zephyr comparison report, you can pull up a live side-by-side comparison on the spot and make the case for your product in real time.

For example, if a financial advisor currently holds QQQ for large-cap growth exposure and you're presenting an alternative like AKRIX, you can show the performance comparison immediately, highlight the lower risk profile, and secure an emotional commitment before you leave the meeting.

Two features are especially useful in this context:

Chart alignment. Use the align charts option to ensure both investments share the same start and end dates. This gives you a true apples-to-apples comparison and removes any ambiguity about the time period being evaluated. Setting the start date as far back as possible maximizes the comparability of the data.

Zoom. You can zoom into any time period across the chart. When charts are aligned, zooming applies simultaneously to all of them and recalculates all statistics for the selected window. This lets you drill into specific market environments — corrections, rallies, or periods of volatility — to reinforce your narrative.

Together, these features let you demonstrate value clearly and efficiently, without the back-and-forth of generating external reports after the meeting.

For Financial Advisors

As a financial advisor, you can use VizWealth to research and evaluate investments, build model portfolios, and compare candidates across asset classes.

The zoom and statistics recalculation features are just as useful here — you can isolate any time window and immediately see updated risk and return metrics for that period.

Fixed income is a particularly strong use case. When evaluating bond funds, you can almost always surface a fund that outperforms an actively managed bond fund, or find an actively managed option that beats a passive bond index, giving you concrete data to inform allocation decisions.

Device Support

VizWealth works well on an iPad, making it practical for wholesalers in the field. It is functional on an iPhone, but the smaller screen limits the usefulness of side-by-side comparisons. For research and portfolio construction work, a larger screen is recommended to get the most out of the comparison views.
